We have been working on our birthing center for the horses.
It is just a run in shed for the pregnant horses, but we are trying to make if functional and visually appealing.
A baby goat was born yesterday, very sweet!
I gave the pond some water yesterday. I don’t want the tadpoles to die.
I watched them a few nights ago with my flashlight.
The salamander tadpoles are voracious. They eat water fleas, ghost worms, frog tadpoles, maybe other salamander tadpoles and try to eat water beetles. I believe the same tadpole tried to eat the same beetle a few times, to just spit it out a few seconds later.
It is quite the sight to behold in that small puddle of water under the illumination of a flashlight at night. I was there so long squatted down that my legs feel asleep and I almost fell in!
I believe we are on a good path.
I am thankful for this opportunity.
