It is Saturday. Shuna is excited to go on a trail ride with Kris and 4 other women.
They will have great time. We will see Shuna’s mother today.
Hopefully she is continuing to make improvements. We can see if her neck brace is off and
if she as access to her radio or other music.
It is relief that she appears to be getting good care. It is a relief that I have been able to contribute some. I believe that I experience guilt because I am not more involved with Shuna’s mothers recovery. I believe I am detached as a part of letting the professionals care for her.
She would not be alive today without the benefits of a profession that is highly skilled and specialized. How to be involved and appreciate a world of specialization without relinquishing one’s responsibilities.
