Almost Done! Four Inches Of Structural Sand Installed In Our Horse Arena At Cascadia Heritage Farm!
The path to joy, hope, and appreciation has many twists and literally tons of sand! Alaistair and team are making great progress on our riding arena. They have installed four inches of sand that we had analyzed and determined to be the best structural sand out of all the examples we had sent in. They are in the process of racking it and grading it. Alaistair is making the horse arena beautiful and a work of functional art. The goal with all of these layers of French drains, geotextile, chipped rock, more geotextile, and sand is to allow the arena to drain quickly so it can be used year-round and to have the perfect footing for our ponies. Stay tuned to see the sand additive we will add to create an even better supportive surface for our Dales Ponies. We are excited to continue to develop our property, lifestyle, and mission to promote, preserve and showcase these endangered animals and this vanishing lifestyle.
