Baby Malay Chicken Adventures, chicks meet parents for the first time.

Viggo has a great idea of taking two of our Malay chicks, critically endangered chicken breed, on adventures and sharing them with you.
These two Malay chicks were hatched on January 25th on our farm.
There is a male and female; both are doing great. On March 5th Viggo decided to have these two cute chicks meet their parents for the first time. Charles Stephens, gifted opera singer and teacher, and our good friend, joins Viggo on the adventure.

This meeting of parents and offspring for the first time went fairly well, all things considered. Both chicks got hearty hello pecks from their parents that sent them scurrying off. Looks like these two won’t be moving back in with their parents. Please keep an eye out for our next “Baby Malay Chicken Adventures” and developments on our M.I.G.H.T, Malay Invigoration Gene Hybridization Team, Project. We at Cascadia Heritage Farm believe we can make a difference and you can too.
