We have a short video of Viggo and me showing our new arrivals to the M.I.G.H.T, malay invigoration gene hybridization team, project. Jorge Clark of Arizona sent a breeding pair of Malay chickens that arrived on February the 11th. Jorge did a wonderful job packing these birds, and in our humble opinion Jorge has some of the best Malay chickens in the United States, keep up the great work Jorge!

Viggo and I were out of town, spending the day with my mother, and Shuna made the very early Malay chicken pickup at the post office. Thank you Shuna for picking up these beauties!

You can see we are in our breeding facility we just recently finished.
Viggo is holding the black breasted red Malay rooster. This rooster by Jorge Clark was hatched in June 2021 from a rooster from Walter Loftis of Georgia mated with a hen from Billy Sumner. The hen by Jorge Clark was hatched in August 2021 from a rooster from Lisa of Florida which we believe has Rodney Profit bloodlines in him mated with a hen from Chris McGeorge

Viggo and I are pleased with this mating pair. Viggo likes to give our birds the smell test and these smell like they are fresh out of the box.

What beautiful exciting birds! Our goal is to have GIANT, VIGOROUS Malays with HUGE WALNUT COMBS!

Cascadia Heritage Farm is pleased to be adding these bloodlines to our M.I.G.H.T project, malay invigoration gene hybridization team. Cascadia Heritage Farm will be also looking in and out of the US to find Malay bloodlines to help invigorate the American Malay. We plan also to reintroduce more foundation stock to the American Malay such as the Kulang, Kolongi, Lari and Hint to add vigor. We are also planning to breed in Indio Gigante from Brazil because of their unique genetics and ties to the Malay.

We are excited about our new birds and we at Cascadia Heritage Farm believe we can make a difference and that you can too. Thank you Jorge for supplying us with wonderful birds.
